Short Description

Presentation on the topic: what does democracy mean to you? with the participation of students; you can make a board, with a drawing, like the one in the photo (which I used for another project – about bullying) and have students write their opinion about what democracy means to them. For the presentation, invite a sociology teacher and or a politician.

Step-by-step explanation

Step 1

The college management is consulted to agree on the dates and times at which the thematic presentations will be given in the college. The topic is prepared together with a teacher and possibly a politician.

Step 2

Questions are formulated to be asked to the students (grades 9th, 10th and 11th) as well as the respective answers. A schedule is drawn up, by classes, days and times.

Step 3

The students participate in the presentations with the supervising teachers and the project coordinator teacher from the school. The drawing in the attached photo can be used for each presentation, adapted to the topic: what does democracy mean to you?

Results

“Papers” will be given to students to answer some questions, after which the teacher or the politician will comment at the end of the presentation/ program.

Goals

Students’ behavior in the community.
